The first stage developer of the next version of Firefox - code-named Shiretoko Alpha 1 - is now available for download. Shiretoko is built on the pre-version of the platform Gecko 1.9.1, which constitutes the basis of rich Internet applications, such as Firefox. Please note that this version is aimed at developers and testers.
The Alpha Shiretoko / Gecko 1.9.1 introduces several new features:
Improved Web standards in the Gecko engine
